- After successful installation of the software, run the application using Disk Doctors NTFS Data Recovery icon either from the desktop or from the programs list in the Start menu START-->PROGRAMS-->Disk Doctors NTFS-->Disk Doctors NTFS.EXE.
The application main window is launched as shown in Figure a.

- As you click Wizard icon in the application main window, a window with various options to perform is displayed as shown in Figure b.

- Select Recover your Data option and click Next button to continue. As you click Next button, a window will be displayed to select the source disk from which you wish to recover your data(see Figure c).

- Select a source drive and the processing mode to process the drive. The software provides two processing modes.
Mode 1. Display default partitions
Mode 2. Search for lost partitions.
- By default the processing mode is set to "Display default partitions". As you click Next button, the application analyses the drive and lists all the found partitions in the partition table as shown in Figure d.

- Select a partition for processing and click Finish button. The application processes the partition and displays the found files and folders in a tree structure as shown in Figure e.

- Once the tree is formed the final step is to restore data to safe location. If you do not want to save data now but do it later hen you can save scanned information in a file using "Save Scan Information" option in Tools menu. You can open scan info file whenever required using "Open Scan Information" option in File menu and recover data to desired destination location. This reduces the pain of scanning the drive again to search for lost / deleted data.
Note: All the deleted files and folders would be differentiated from normal existing files/folders by a red cross mark as

If you are unable to find your lost files or folders after basic scanning, you can perform extensive search for lost data using "Turbo Scan" option in Tools menu.
