Cucusoft Ultimate DVD Converter is a smart tool for converting your favorite DVD’s to play on your portable devices like iPod, iPhone, Zune, PSP, video capable MP3 players, etc. With the simplest design of program, Cucusoft Ultimate DVD Converter can help you convert DVD’s in pretty fast speed.
The tutorial below will show you how to convert DVD’s to play on your portable devices. After downloading and installing Cucusoft Ultimate DVD Converter, follow the steps below to accomplish the conversion tasks.
Step1. Choose Conversion Mode (“Direct Mode” or “Batch Mode”)
--Click one of the conversion modes by clicking the mode button at the top of the interface
--Click button  to choose Direct Mode, you can convert the main movie directly. See fig. 1
--Or Click button  to choose Batch mode, you can choose the chapters you need to convert. See fig. 2
(Tips: If you don’t choose any, the converter will set Direct Mode as default mode automatically.)
Step2. Input DVD’s
--Insert DVD to DVD-ROM, and there are two methods to input DVD’s
--Method 1. Open the File drop-down menu in the interface, and choose "Open DVD"
--Method 2. Click the Open DVD button under the progress bar to choose the DVD root’s directory that you want to convert.
(Tip: The converter will automatically play the video once you input DVD) See fig. 3
Step3. Profile Settings
--Open the Settings drop-down menu in the interface, and choose the profile (output format), encode speed, and set the output folder. See fig. 4
(Tip: You need to set the output folder to your hard disk.)
--Or you want the default values of those settings, and then you can just do some simple settings at the right corner of interface, such as Profile (your target portable devices), Crop (cropping black bands or not), Resize, Output path. See fig. 5
Step4. Start the Conversion
--Click the “Convert” button to start the conversion. A windows will pop up to remind you the output settings, if you check it and thinks it is all right, then you can click “yes” to start the conversion; otherwise, you choose “no” and return to the profile settings to change it. See fig. 6
