The tutorial below will show you how to convert videos with 4Videosoft iPhone Video Converter. After downloading and installing 4Videosoft iPhone Video Converter, follow the steps below to accomplish the conversion tasks.
Step 1: Add Files---three ways to go
--Method 1: Click “Add File” icon directly and choose the files you want to convert from your local disk.
--Method 2: Open the “File” drop-down menu and select “Add File” to select your source files.
--Method 3: Drag and drop. Drag the source files directly to the file list. See fig.1
(NOTE: There are five buttons under the file list. Their functions are showed below:
Clear all: to remove all the added files
Rename: to rename the output name of the selected file
Move up: to move the selected file to a previous place
Move down: to move the selected file to a later place
Properties: to preview the detailed information of the video/audio
OR you can directly right click the target file to edit it. See fig.2
--After importing the files, you can preview the video in the right window in the main interface.
--You can even take snapshot of your favorite scene by clicking the camera icon under the right window.
--Click the Folder icon to open the output folder to preview the snapshots you’ve taken. See fig.3
Step 1-b: Join Video files:
--Click “Merge into one file” option to join video files as you like. The merged file will be named after the first selected file.
Step 2: Edit Video Settings
Step 2-a: Edit video effect
--Click the “Effect” icon in the main interface to open the Video Edit window. See fig. 4
--Adjust the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Volume of the video according to you need.
--Set Deinterlacing: to avoid mosaics on the picture and obtain high-quality output videos when converting video formats like 720i, 1080i. The following pictures shows the comparison for the effects of setting or no setting deinterlacing:
(NOTE:
720i stands for resolution of 1280*720 pixels and the magic little “i” means that the video is in interlaced format.
1080i refers to an interlaced HDTV signal with 1080 horizontal lines and an Aspect ratio of 16:9(1.78:1)
Step 2-b: Trim Video—three ways to go
--Click “Trim” icon in the main interface and enter trimming window. See fig.6
--Method 1. drag the left trim icon directly to mark the beginning of your favorite part, and then drag the right left trim icon to mark the end of this part.
--Method 2. directly set the Start time and End time below the preview window and click “OK”.
--Method 3. play the video to your favorite part and click “[“ at the beginning point, “]” at the end point.
Step 2-c: Crop Video—three ways to go
--Click “Crop” icon in the interface to enter crop video window. See fig.7
--Method 1: Crop by dragging the crop frame.
--Method 2: Set directly the crop values, including Left, Top, Right, Bottom.
--Method 3: Set the Zoom Mode, you have four choices: Full Screen, Keep Original, 16:9, 4:3. You will see the comparison on the preview windows.
Step 2-d: Set Output Path
--Open the drop-down menu of Profile in the main interface and select the format you want to convert to.
--Click “Browse…” button to set the destination folder. See fig. 8
--Click “Settings” button to set advanced video/audio settings. The Help column will show you what this setting stands for. See fig. 9
Step 2-e: Set Preference
--Click “Preference” icon to open the Preference window.
--Select “General” window to set output path of video and snapshot. And you can even choose “Shut Down” in the After Converting Done column if you do not need it after conversion. See fig.10
--Select “Options” to choose your language and interface skin. See fig.11
Step 3: Start Conversion
--Click “START” button to start your conversion. See fig. 12
--Show Preview: Check to preview the converted video effect during the conversion
--Shut down computer when conversion completed: If you check this option, this program will automatically shut down your computer after the conversion is finished, so you do not need to wait around your computer.
--Open output folder when conversion completed: If you check this option, when the conversion is finished, the output folder will be opened automatically.
